Cheol-In Jung정철인

Cheol-In JungProducts can be complex. Choosing them and working with them should be easier.

  1. Cutting-tool design & technical support
  2. Product planning & management
  3. Marketing for Korea & Japan

I have designed product selection criteria, customer-facing materials and tools that people use at work. I consider both the technical content and the circumstances of the people using it.

Problems we can work on

  • A

    Sales & customer-facing enablement

Plenty of product information, but customers still struggle to choose?

I develop criteria and materials that explain why a product fits a customer—and when it does not. I connect them with training and tools for sales staff and partners.

    What we can work on
    • Product and service selection criteria and the structure of customer-facing materials
    • Sales and partner training, with workshops on actual customer situations
    • Work tools that turn field records into proposal and explanation materials
  • B

    Knowledge use & process improvement

More documents, but the same person is still the source of every answer?

I clarify the context in specialist materials and the criteria behind work decisions, then connect them with tools for finding information or reducing repetitive work. I also examine whether AI outputs are usable in the real workflow.

    What we can work on
    • Structuring specialist materials and designing tools to find and use them
    • Improving document workflows and repetitive tasks with AI and development partners
    • Hands-on practice and coaching so employees can improve their own work

Selected work

  1. 01Product management · Customer choice

Product search that starts with the tools customers already own

    Situation
Customers looking for an insert already had a holder or cutter in mind. Alongside performance, they needed to judge compatibility with their existing tooling.
    My contribution
I made compatibility a key criterion and designed filters and screens for narrowing the selection by series, geometry and grade. I explained the design to an external developer for implementation in the electronic catalog.
    Observed outcome
The indexable-insert search structure was implemented in the electronic catalog and used by international branches.
  2. 02Technical understanding · Sales support

Records sales teams can enter—and show to customers

    Situation
We wanted to show customers how products performed in the field, but sales staff struggled to enter the technical test data.
    My contribution
I planned calculation aids for data entry and a workflow that generated customer-facing PDFs from test data. I designed the interface, worked with an external developer on implementation and tested for bugs.
    Observed outcome
The system was launched to international branches. I observed active early use at one branch.
  3. 03Domain knowledge · Applied AI

From translations that needed rewriting to materials local teams could use

    Situation
Translations lacked enough technical context, so reviewers had to return to the source and rewrite the content.
    My contribution
I gave the AI domain knowledge and feedback on the Korean version to establish a baseline. I applied that context to other languages and built tools and a workflow to review terminology and readability for the intended audience.
    Observed outcome
I provided training materials in 14 languages to local training contacts. Most could be used as delivered; some were adjusted locally.

How I work

  1. 01

Start where the work gets stuck

I examine customer questions, product selection and the materials employees need to double-check. Together, we identify the decisions involved and the missing information.

  2. 02

    Understand the content, then design

I clarify product and workflow requirements and turn them into explanatory materials, selection criteria and work tools. I build directly or work with developers and subject-matter experts.

  3. 03

    Follow through to actual use

I connect implementation with hands-on practice and coaching where needed. AI is one of the tools I use, and I address issues that emerge in use.

About Cheol-In Jung

I started in cutting-tool design and technical support, moved into product planning and management, and then took on marketing for Korea and Japan. My experience with technical requirements informed my work on product selection criteria and catalog structures, and later on content that explains value to customers and training for employees and distributors.

Writing, presenting, teaching and designing systems share a purpose for me: helping people understand the information they need and make decisions that serve their goals. I have drawn on product knowledge to design content, materials, training and tools together.

I built an AI translation tool and delivered training materials in 14 languages. I also coached employees as they built tools for their own work. One employee went on to help colleagues automate their tasks and deliver introductory AI training. I want to extend this experience to product, knowledge and workflow challenges across industries.
